Ridam Care and Ridam Notions’ application for an AEO permit has been approved

We are proud to announce that the application from Ridam Care BV and Ridam Notions BV for the AEO permit for Customs Simplifications and Security has been approved.

We have worked hard over the past year to tighten and improve all our procedures in order to meet the requirements. The certification also enhances our internal quality systems and ensured that our security procedures were assessed and tested by Customs.

The AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) concept is based on the ‘Customs-to-Business partnership’ developed by the World Customs Organization. The principle is that businesses and Customs work closely together. Their shared goal is to enhance the security of the international supply chain. With AEO, Customs also aims to better facilitate legal trade flows.

For companies involved in international trade, the AEO permit is increasingly becoming a necessary certification. Additionally, the AEO permit is becoming more important as a quality label. It demonstrates that a company is part of a secure logistics chain.

Important benefits of an AEO permit include:

• fewer inspections
• priority if selected for inspection
• choice of inspection location
• advance notification when selected for inspection
• mutual recognition with third countries (for AEO-S)

Our permit is valid from April 2, 2025.
